Aghghhghghhhhh!! My TiVo missed the end of the Gilmore Girls season finale last night. Can anyone tell me what happened? (And obviously don't read comments if you want to avoid spoilers.)
Right now it has a short recap of the episode (which I don't plan on reading, since I still need to finish Season Two). In a few days, they will post a full play-by-play of the episode, complete with snarky commentary.
Wow, so Lorelai and Sukie hook up? Who'd have guessed? But Luke and Taylor, I saw that one coming a mile away. I'm sure the orgy scene was tastefully filmed, too bad I missed that.
And what really annoys me is that they must not have listed the time properly with all the guides, or the TiVo would have caught it. Pure evil. Email faces@thewb.com to complain, and hopefully they'll re-air the episode.
Man, last night's episode was about the worst I've seen... I can't see what's on the website Mike mentioned, thanks to the hospital's "no entertaining website" policy, but in case that website didn't say so, the episode was wicked retahded. Everyone behaves all out of character. Rory steals a yacht, gets arrested, decides to drop out of Yale. Grandparents, Luke, Lorelei freak out, then Grandparents come around to agree with Rory, who moves into the pool house. There was the typical annoying stuff with Kirk and what's-his-name, some town stuff with a bike race (also annyoing and not contributing anything to the plot), and Lorelei is thinking of maybe possibly selling the Inn to a big hotel chain (again, can I say totally out of character??). When Lorelei mentions this to Luke, he freaks out and asks "what about the children?!" and for some reason Lorelei decides not to really ask what the hell he's talking about. Lane's mother decides that she totally support's Lane's band afterall, and sets up a tour for them... to like eighty billion churches all around the east coast. At the very end of the episode, after pretty much having her relationship with Rory trashed, Lorelei asks Luke to marry her, and there is no resolution.
Yeah. Normally I like the Gilmore Girls, but not last night.

"Dear TV Networks,
We're just going to wait for the DVDs now. Please reconsider your entire business model."
