Dave at Night — Gail Carson Levine
Inspired by her father's background growing up in the Hebrew Orphan Asylum in New York, this is a fictional story about a boy in an orphanage called the Hebrew Home for Boys. OK, but not nearly as good as her fantasies, IMHO.
Gimp — Mark Zupan
Autobiography of one of the stars of Murderball, the documentary about quadriplegic rugby.
Variable Star — Robert A. Heinlein & Spider Robinson
They found an outline and some notes on a book Heinlein wrote in 1955, and asked Spider to write the book. It reads a lot more like a Spider Robinson book than a Heinlein one to me, but it was a fun read. If you're a Heinlein purist you won't like it, but if you just like good juvenile SF, it's a fine book.
