From Narniaweb...
For Walden Media, recapturing imagination and rekindling curiosity doesn’t begin and end in the movie theatre. Walden Media will sponsor an exhibit tour to promote Walt Disney Picture’s and Walden Media’s upcoming film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, an adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ beloved 1950 novel, due to open in theaters on December 9, 2005.
The free exhibit - which features props, costumes, and behind the scenes footage from Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media’s December 9th release, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - will visit select libraries. Walden Media is working with these libraries and local educational organizations to create programming related to the exhibit and the book and film on which it is based.
A list of scheduled library stops is below:
Orlando Public Library - October 21-24
Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library (Washington, DC) - October 28-November 1
Boston Public Library - November 3-8
New York Public Library, Jefferson Market Branch - November 10-14
The exhibit will be open to the public during library hours.
Each city will host a media event, including a press conference, celebrity readings, and an opportunity for children to tour the exhibit and participate in educational activities.
There's nothing anywhere on the BPL web page about this. I called them and found out that there's a press conference tomorrow at 12:30 in the Rabb Lecture Hall. I was actually in the library today and saw nothing -- I think the exhibit must be downstairs near the Rabb.
lifecollage, do you happen to know anything?
