1. What is your favorite word?
Floccinaucinihilipilification. I love the how it feels tripping off the tongue (in either sense of tripping, as you get used to it), and I love the silliness of it.

2. What is your least favorite word?
Library when pronounced liberry. I hate to hear words abused, but that one most of all.

3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
That moment when you get a flash a new comprehension or insight, when you begin to understand a person or project or challenge.

4. What turns you off?
Stupidity. I have no trouble with lack of knowledge, but I have no patience at all for stupidity.

5. What is your favorite curse word?
Bugger. It sounds so genteel and British, but you can get a lot of explosive emphasis into that B.

6. What sound or noise do you love?
Vocal harmony. I can be completely transported by the sound of voices blending together in the way no other sound affects me.

7. What sound or noise do you hate?
Babies crying. Not because I feel badly for them, just because the sound really grates on me.

8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I've really enjoyed the teaching I've done in my life. There are a lot of things I would hate about structured teaching in a school, but I bet I could find something satisfying in the teaching profession.

9. What profession would you not like to do?
Doctor. I won't even drive a car because I don't trust myself enough; I certainly don't want other people's lives dependent on me.

10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
