Tap recital
Mar. 12th, 2004 07:20 amI have a tap dance open house coming up on Sunday March 28 at 3pm at the Dance Complex in Central Square, Cambridge. I'll probably be performing in 2 or 3 pieces, other classes will do a few, and then there's an audience participation portion where my teacher teacher everyone a short and very simple routine. It's a lot of fun, and I promised my mom that I'd try to get someone to come and take pictures or video, so come!
I'm mostly stopped writing about the tap class for a while, but it's been going really well. I'm finishing up my 3rd class, and I've gotten much better about both picking up steps and about being ok with it when it takes me a while. My teacher suggested last night that I consider trying level 3 next term; that class, in addition to teaching harder steps, moves at a much faster pace, so it's a real compliment that she thinks I might be ready. In any case, I've gotten what I was looking for out of it, plus a cool Halloween/Purim costume! (And no, I'm not wearing that for the recital. Sorry.)
