more birthday stuff

My sister sent me a pin for my birthday. It's a very large and ostentatious pin of a flying woman with a birthday present dangling from her. The accompanying card says "I know the pin is *not* your usual style, but it is so outrageous that people will have to ask you about it so you can say, "Oh, my sister sent it to me for my birthday." And then they will say, "Oh, it's your birthday? Happy birthday!" and I know how you like to get a lot of mileage out of your birthday.

She knows me so well.

I'm sorry i didn't make it to you party on Sunday - I had the WORST DAY EVER!!! and it just didn't let up...that and family emergency kept me busy until all hours. I apologize and hope you had a great day with loads of "gifts" continued from the night before!
