voice recorder
Jun. 25th, 2009 10:20 pmI'm taking voice lessons, and the teacher suggested I bring a voice recorder. So far all the ones I've found are either crazy expensive (and the tape recorder was more expensive than the digital thingummies!) or don't work on a Mac. The nice guy at the Apple store suggested getting a minidisc recorder from eBay, but before I go that route I thought I'd see if anyone either has something I could borrow for a while, or has any guidance on buying such a beast. Thanks!

Date: 2009-06-29 02:57 am (UTC)My friend Adam has a page with some recs for a cheap kit he uses for mobile podcasting - it's very portable but the price varies depending on how much it costs on ebay http://www.podcastconsultant.net/what-i-use/. I have a similar but larger (both physically & in capacity) iRiver that I've used for years at the music & dance workshop I go to every summer.
I also know that some small flash drives or non-ipod mp3 players can be good for turning into low-capacity recorders, just add a mic, but it matters which and frustratingly I can't remember where I got the info on what is best. Will try to remember.
