Another op'nin, another show

Arrived at 6 for the dress rehearsal last night and didn't leave until midnight. Yawn. But I finally got to see Act I, which was just fabulous. Of course our show is the very last one, so my mustache, having bravely stayed on through the cue-to-cue and all of the show plus trying to eat pizza through it, finally started falling off right before we went on. Sigh. We had a little confusion with timing on a few issues, but mostly it went pretty well -- I'm not afraid for friends to show up anymore. And I'm so enjoying hanging out with everyone and all the casual physical touch. I forget sometimes just how touch-hungry I get these days. I can live without the sex, but the fact that I can go without being touched for weeks at a time -- well, that's hard.

The shirt I had ordered for the play from eBay was finally there when I got home last night, but I'm not sure it will actually work. It's a little small. Anyone have any idea where you can buy a guayabera around here?

T@F is so different than any theatre group I've ever been part of, and I agree about how nice the touchy-huggy dynamic is. I'm a big snuggler, and it's nice to have so many snuggly bears around. :-)

So glad you'll be there! I actually recommend sitting over on the side, rather than center, to avoid the Pole of Doom(tm). Sit on the left side for a better view of both scholargipsy and myself :)

*nod* I'd forgotten how touchy-feely I used to be, back in high school when I was doing lots of theatre. T@F has brought a lot of that back in a nice way.

pheromone told me that she learned in massage therapy training that the only culture that gets less friendly touch than America is Great Britain. Interesting, and sadly not surprising about either country.
