I had a very full and very enjoyable weekend.

Friday night I went to a DAAM at [livejournal.com profile] missmhart's house to see Nicole, Hugo, and Eric, visiting from various corners of the world. Tim was there; I haven't seen him in a few months, so it was great to see him and catch up a little, but also hard to see that we still have such a great connection, and get each other like no one else.

Saturday morning [livejournal.com profile] missmhart joined me to go to synagogue, which was a pleasure. It was nice to feel like I belong to Tremont Street enough to not only come more often, but also bring more friends :) Turned out she even knew some people there that I didn't. It's a small, small world.

Sunday I went in to Brookline to get some MEAT and enjoy the nice weather. I had a Wall Street sandwich for lunch -- corned beef and tongue with cole slaw and Russian dressing. Yum! I got a call from Pup later in the afternoon inviting me to a barbecue that [livejournal.com profile] mangosteen and [livejournal.com profile] kalessin had informed him that he was throwing. I dragged [livejournal.com profile] missmhart along again, and we had a very pleasant evening with more kosher meat.

Monday I went over to Glen's house to see his lovely new Japanese landscape. We did the crossword together over breakfast, which we haven't done in ages, but we're still well matched for that and it was a lot of fun. I went home and napped a bit, then took pity on my roommate's dog who was stuck inside while she was out of town, and we went for a walk in Tufts Park by the powderhouse. It was great to see how much she enjoyed it. [livejournal.com profile] miss_chance picked me up at 4, and we picked up [livejournal.com profile] scholargipsy and headed up to New Hampshire to meet [livejournal.com profile] infinitehotel and [livejournal.com profile] istemi at the Friendly Toast. I enjoyed getting to meet scholargipsy and getting to hang out with miss_chance on the ride up -- somehow we haven't managed to connect very much for a while now. Dinner was a blast, both because of the venue and the company. After a quick stop at the record store across the street, we headed back to Boston.

And now I'm back at work and excited about the first play rehearsal tonight!

How was first rehearsal? We have ours tomorrow. I was hoping all the different casts would meet at the beginning, but I guess we'll just have to wait!

Sounds like a great weekend. We would have really liked to be at DAAM, but we were packing for our Vineyard invasion.

Where do you get tongue in Brookline? It's one of the things I miss about not living near NYC anymore. Thanks!
