I went out at lunch to run an errand. On the way back, I thought "OK, it's starting to rain a little, but it looks like I have time to stop at the Farmer's Market for a few minutes." Half a second later, the tarp of the stall I was standing at blew over, someone turned a fire hose on me, and I was drenched.

I am now back at work, eating a delicious Iggy's sandwich and a pumpkin square with cream cheese frosting, and feeling my pants drip gently at my feet.

Oh dear...that doesn't sound at all comfortable. But lunch sounds tasty, that's some compensation!

So, I'm confused. Was there a sudden, unexpected downpour in the Boston area? Or did someone really turn a fire hose on you? If the latter, why? Accident or intentional? And are you at all bruised from the high water pressure?
