Serendipities of the day:

• Sleeping in
  
• Running into friends at shumashi's open house
  
• Getting to play some really nifty games at said open house (ok, that one was more planned than serendipity, but still cool)
  
• Running into androidqueen and palmwiz while wandering through Kendall
  
• Having my T announce before Harvard that is was going express to Alewife -- which meant I got off at Harvard and
  
  
  
  • bought some heirloom tomatoes and fruit at the Harvard Square Farmers Market
    
  • got a free sample of some ginger body cream at Origins
    
  • heard a cello player so good that I left the outbound platform and went back to the inbound platform to listen for a while and have a nice chat
    
  
  
• seeing a pretty butterfly on my walk back home
  
• and the fact that I can now take a nap before the show tonight. Or maybe watch some more Spaced. Damn you, clarity_dog.
  

Small amusement of the day:
while I was in Kendall, I thought I'd see if I could find someone to lunch with. I would normally call dpolicar, but of course he wasn't around. I tried Eric Prud'hommeux, but he was about to get on a train to take him to a plane to go to Paris for 2 months. Quel dommage. Called ablock, who was in fact hungry, but was also in Denver. Less than useful. Ran into androidqueen and palmwiz, as I said, but they were with a gaggle of other folks. So I ended up having a lovely lunch alone in Rebecca's Cafe. My life could be so much worse. :)
