Arisia report
Jan. 21st, 2008 01:49 pmI'm home. Tired and probably dehydrated, but it was a good con. Highlights included:
I'm sure I'm forgetting things, but when I go to sleep at 2am and wake up around 7, that's bound to happen. More as I think of it, and as I get the pictures!
- Walking a labyrinth for the first time -- I was pretty skeptical, but it turned out to be an amazingly powerful experience
- Shabbat services and dinner with a friendly crowd of geeky Jews
- The Naughty Nurse "LOLnurse" skit before Rocky Horror
- The 13 outfits I wore over the course of the weekend, many of which were properly appreciate by viewers
- Having my face painted by the artist GoH to match my top for the party Saturday night
- Two fabulous parties hosted by
zigguratlabs - A Labyrinth-themed Goblin Ball with vintage dances and live music, and having the perfect outfit to wear to it
- Making new friends and actually getting some time to hang out with old ones
- A successful performance of Red Shift
- Buying a lovely new piece of art by Kelly Kotulak

Date: 2008-01-21 08:44 pm (UTC)I love walking the labyrinth - it is so quiet in the center! We built one in our yard this past summer. David laid it out and we walked it together for the first time on Rosh Hodesh Elul, our wedding anniversary. It was finished by Rosh haShanah. Had many people come during Sukkot to walk it - a great way to initiate it and get some good community energy. It is now covered in snow - I miss walking it now. Come in the spring to share it with us. It is quite wonderful. Be well.
