Because I know my friends have impeccable taste in music... there's a new Peter Mulvey album out, Notes from Elsewhere.  It's a solo accoustic album, just him and his guitar.  I got it this morning, and it's rocking my world.  Here's one song that he has posted on the web site to whet your appetite.

blar. it sounds decent, but i dislike albums that are a rehash of old stuff with not even one new song. it feels like a concert on a CD.

Well, in this case all of the recordings are pretty different from the way I've heard him play them before. But then, he's one of the few musicians I enjoy live even more than recorded, so a concert on a CD by him is fine with me :)
