I recently gambled and bought a pair of character shoes off eBay. They're great shoes, but they turn out to be just a little too small for comfort for me. They're brand new, Bloch Curtain Call, all leather, size 7.5 (although a small 7.5, apparently), with a 2" heel. The original listing is here. I paid $34.49, including shipping; I'd love to get at least part of that back. Anyone interested?

Too small for me, I'm afraid! I do need a pair of black ones, though. They claim (and I've found) with character shoes that you need to go at least a half size *up* from your street size and usually a full size for added comfort.

I'll never understand why specialty shoes aren't sized like Payless! ;)

I went to a dance store that's down near Hynes/Dorothy's Boutique/Berklee College of Music -- that area. It was the same for me, I bought them in 6 when I'm normally a 5 or 5 1/2 -- even though I'll only be wearing them with nylons, not socks! Interesting, how that works.

But anybody who's reading this, you don't have to be an actor or dancer to want character shoes. They're just amazingly comfortable. They're almost the only kind of heel I can wear for hours on end with no problem (I have poor feet), and they go with everything. (That being kind of the point!)
