I must ask about 130 and 131. I've been very much wanting to read some Sayers, but people recommended I start with Gaudy Night instead of Strong Poison... what did you think? And Deerskin was one of my chilhood favorites, but my thoughts about it have changed somewhat in my adulthood.

I love Sayers, these were conform re-reads for me. I would recommend against starting with Gaudy Night, actually; I think Strong Poison gives you a better sense of the characters and their relationship. I can bring it tonight to lend you, if you like.

Robin McKinley is one of my favorite authors, and I remember Deerskin having a huge impact on me the first time I read it, but it didn't hit me quite the same way this time. Still a good book, still intense, but I didn't identify in the same way I had then, and I'm having trouble remembering quite what it was that struck me the first time.
