gilanaI got a solo in my choir's performance of Mozart's Requiem! I tried out for solos last year and did terribly -- got really nervous and could barely sing. I took some voice classes this summer and learned a lot, so I thought I'd try again this time, and I did much better. I didn't get the piece I really wanted, but this one is still pretty cool. (It's the solo in the Offertorium movement, for anyone who knows the piece.)
The concert is Saturday, May 17, 7pm at the North Prospect Church in Porter Square -- hope some of you can make it.

That's a helluvva piece of music -- I've been in chorus for it.
I'm bummed about the date, cause I can't make it, but I trust this is just the first in a series ;-)
