Well, another show over. I'd say it was a good one. In fact, I hid in the kitchen last night to watch Act I and was amazed at quite how good it was. Everyone's performances have grown so much richer and more nuanced and tighter since I last saw anything at the dress rehearsals. This was truly an ensemble show. Lines were funnier because of how other actors reacted to them. Relationships were truer because whoever you looked at onstage, there was an actor who was completely there to take you deeper into the moment. I was a lot more in my head than I would have liked most of the time, but I did manage to stay in character and react honestly to what was going on around me. I'm very proud that I think my funniest moments were the ones that were not written on the page.

I know I'll see everyone who was involved with the show again, most of them on a regular basis. I'll probably even be in shows with some of them again way too soon -- I'm planning to audition for the One Acts. But we will never again have that particular group of people gathered together to create that particular bit of magic, and I'll miss that.

So thanks to everyone who was a part of it -- to lordfeepness for bringing us this play and bismuthobsidian for dreaming up such a fabulous set and lifecollage for making it a reality and muffyjo for making things happen and alfie1981 for holding the whip over us and lillibet for being as good onstage as she is off and jason237 for my first on-stage kiss and trowa_barton for being the blessing of our union and briganski for all the ass-slapping and urban_faerie_ for the mustache and eclecticavatar for fixing my gloves minutes before I had to go on stage and hotpoint for a kick-ass cast party and heliopsis for his incredible spirit and ironpoet for the backrubs and derspatchel for his comic genius and kalliejenn2 for turning my hair gray and mangosteen for his wonderful laugh and plumtreeblossom for her fabulousness and pheromone for Booty Vortex and vanguardcdk for the Cokes and preraphaelite for lighting up our lives and audioboy for his fabulous intros and journeystar for wrangling the weirdest collection of props ever and everyone who came to see the show and double thanks if you laughed loud and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, but whoever you are I thank you too. :)

It was great working directly with you and jason237. There was definitely magic going into the production with everybody. I feel a little out of it now that it's all over. I wonder about the next show (assuming I audition). Then I watched "My Boyfriend's Wife". A piece of dialogue between lillibet and your character summed it up:

"He'll never love me the way he loves you."
"No, he will love you the way he loves you."

It applies to any show we do.

I laughed loud! I could tell how much fun you all were having, and I loved to be part of it for one evening.
