We went out with a bang last night -- a generous audience (I even got an exit hand! squee!), the playwright in attendance (I met him afterwards, and he was very sweet; he complimented my performance even though my part as written was a butler named Charles), a smooth and organized strike, and a cast party that went until somewhere around 3:30am.
I will miss Sarah a little; I really enjoyed playing that part, and I'm happy with the work I did on it, and pleased with some of the discoveries I made throughout the run. A few of us had some great acting and character discussions in the green room throughout the show, and I think some good things came out of those for everyone.
And I'll definitely miss the cast and crew -- I met a lot of fabulous new people, made some wonderful new friends, and had some really special conversations and hugs and silliness with old friends. Every cast is special, of course, but we really did have a pretty amazing group for this one, and a higher than usual proportion of "keepers" among the newbies :)
I'm looking forward to my next adventure -- maybe the one-acts, maybe the new improv program T@F is starting -- but for now, I'm going back to bed! Wake me in a week or two. Or maybe the spring.
(Oh, and happy Purim! I did my drinking last night, and I'm having leftover hamentaschen from the cast party for breakfast, and going to a megilla reading this afternoon. And no, I'm not going in my Sarah costume.)
