Had my second tap class. It's a totally different sort of learning than I usually do -- I keep trying to learn the steps intellectually and being confused, but after a few times through something just clicks and my body gets it. Then my brain can catch up and follow along, but it's definitely body first, which is not my normal style. Extremely satisfying the first time I make it through a combination cleanly. I'll often screw up again after that, but that's because I've shifted my attention from the steps or counting or whatever to looking at my form or watching other people. Fun to listen to us all together and focus on being part of the group, as well as trying to pick out my taps and see if they sound right.
