Congratulations to the cast of Festival@First: C'est Levine! I am beyond thrilled to announce that I have been cast in the play Scripted, directed by Andrea Humez.
I've enjoyed my participation behind the scenes in the last few plays, but I've really missed acting, and I'm very much looking forward to this. At odd moments, I keep finding myself thinking "I get to act!" and I feel a surge of joy and my whole body feels light, as though I've been freed from some long constraint. I knew I had missed it, but I don't think I had acknowledged to myself quite how much.
My sympathies to those who were not cast. There was a huge turn-out for auditions, and way too many extremely talented people. I know the directors had a really hard time making decisions. Platitudes, I know, but they really are true, and I do know how it feels, and I'm really sorry. I hope you'll all consider being involved in some other way, and if not, well, hopefully I'll see you at the next auditions.
