Oct. 23rd, 2005 08:11 pmYet another very full and very wonderful weekend. Friday night I went to a Sukkot pot luck at
tremontstshul, where I enjoyed much wonderful food and even more wonderful singing with
chanaleh and others. I love doing theater, but I miss choir sometimes. Singing in harmony gives me joy in a way nothing else can quite match. Stopped by
pheromone's party redux briefly afterwards, but was too tired and allergic to stay for long.
Saturday we had a Merry Wives rehearsal that started out feeling very low energy and just off, and ended up being incredibly energetic and playful and silly. I found a bunch of great new bits for my big scene. It's amazingly satisfying to hear people laughing at me. :) I'm starting to get so psyched for the show -- it just keeps getting tighter and funnier, and I'm starting to get to know and like the people even more. I can't wait to share it all with an audience.
Saturday night I went to a friend's wedding reception. It was a great excuse to get dressed to the nines and do some ballroom dancing -- wish I got to do more of that.
guxx and
minkrose were there as well, looking quite spiffy, and I enjoyed a few dances with a very dashing
heliopsis and
ironpoet. Wish I had pictures of
ironpoet and myself dancing -- we were told we cut a fine figure.
Today
lillibet took me out to Wrentham Village as the final gasp of my birthday celebration. It was wonderful having time to hang out with her, and we shop surprisingly well together. We both had some wonderful finds -- mine include a pair of totally smokin' red boots. (Red is the new neutral, don'tcha know.)
Just finished cooking a shephard's pie and curried chicken to see me through the rest of the holidays.
Now to see how many episodes of House I have to catch up on my TiVo...
