I was having one of those stress dreams, the one where I'm in a show and I'm backstage and I can't find bits of my costume and the wrong people are there and all of the sudden it's time for me to go on and I don't know my first line and the only script I can find is for the wrong show and I'm freaking out... when suddenly something occurred to me and I stepping out onto the stage, faced the two or three people sitting in the back on the basketball bleachers, and calmly said, "I'm sorry, but this is actually a dream, and I have to go now."

Years ago, I read some stuff about lucid dreaming. Realizing you're dreaming while you're in a dream is the first critical step. Once you realize this, you can then begin to shape your dream to be whatever you want. It's potentially loads of fun. I had limited success with this myself. The best I did was to begin to fly around once I had the realization. But, my dream tended to fade away at that point too.

Wow. That definitely indicates a personal triumph of some kind!
