This year's Bulwer-Lytton winners are up.

Dishonorable Mention in the Children's Literature category:

Because of her mysterious ways I was fascinated with Dorothy and I wondered if she would ever consider having a relationship with a lion, but I have to admit that most of my attention was directed at her little dog Toto because, after all, he was a source of meat protein and I had had enough of those damn flying monkeys.

OK, I'm intrigued by this one. [livejournal.com profile] dpolicar brought up the idea of guides for dealing with individuals based on the "for Dummies" series. I don't know how much explanation I really require, but anyone have any suggestions for how to get your most out of interactions with Gilly?

Since the storm last night, I can't get my Mac to connect to the internet. My roommate's computer, connected to the same router, has no such problem. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot? Is it most likely my ethernet card, or could it be a cable or something? Any easy way to find out? It's an iMac G4, the desk lamp kind, so it's not as easy to open up and replace pieces as most macs. Thanks for any help... I'll just be twitching quitely in the computer until I get my access back...
