Date: 2006-01-22 12:26 am (UTC)2 - I Capture the Castle is the only book I can recall that I actually did not bother to finish reading. I just couldn't get into it, I was reading it at the wrong time in my life and I returned it to the library totally unfinished. I got maybe halfway through it.

Date: 2006-01-22 12:51 am (UTC)2 - I loved I Capture the Castle, was very sorry to see it end! But I could see it not being someone's taste or topic.

Date: 2006-01-22 02:51 am (UTC)2 - I'm sure it is great - but I was suffering some seriously unrequited love (or rather, originally requited but distanced and possibly unrequited due to mental instability on the part of my partner) and I just... it hurt too much. I thought, if this ends well, it will highlight everything I've lost. If this ends badly, it will only make me feel worse.
I'll read it someday. I just couldn't read it THEN.

Date: 2006-01-22 12:53 am (UTC)Hoot was ok, nothing fabulous. I'm trying to read through some books that Walden Media has done, in case I ever manage to get an interview there :)
