The apartment downstairs from me is becoming available, and it would be lovely to have cool folks down there. Location is Somerville, Powderhouse Blvd, 10 minute walk to Davis T.

I haven't actually seen the downstairs, but for those of you who have seen my place, the landlord says that the first floor unit is very similar to mine, except that there is no dishwasher and there is parking in the driveway for two cars. It's much the same layout as my apartment with living room, dining room, kitchen, butler's pantry, two bedrooms and bathroom. (My bedroom is insanely huge; not sure if that is true of the downstairs.) It has a gas stove and refrigerator and wood floor and finishes throughout. A portion of the basement is available for storage.

The apartment is available for lease beginning September 1. Rent is $1300 per month, no utilities included. First and last months rent required at time of lease signing with $125 per occupant cleaning deposit.

if i didn't know where i will be living already, i would totally look into that! it's bigger and cheaper than the place i plan to live in (if i get to stay) and i wouldn't have to move my stuff! ;o)

Having a dishwasher is the best thing ever. Even better than having a washer and dryer, because I can send my laundry out, but I haven't found anywhere to send out my dirty dishes.

So, how firm are your plans for the other place? ;) If would be so great to have you just downstairs!
