My poor aching feet. I spent a chunk of today at the Burlesque Expo, helping gingerkat to man the naughty_nurses booth (you can still buy our calendar here!) I got to try out a fun new nurse outfit that I plan to use for Arisia next year, and it was very well received. After a few hours at the table, I went and took drop-in classes on "Accessor-Tease!", where we learned a whole routine using a boa and gloves, and then one on "Bumps, Grinds, & Shimmies". Lots of fun, but I'm not used to wearing heels for that long. And some of those moves involved muscles that don't normally see much use, so I'm sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow. Still, I had a total blast. And now more than ever I'm looking forward to performing my hula dance at SomerVaudeVille, theatreatfirst's one-night-only vaudeville extravaganza at Johnny D's, May 28. Of course, I still have Much Ado to get through, first -- only 12 days until we open!
