Talley's Folly
Feb. 13th, 2005 01:10 amI was fortunate enough to see both performances of Talley's Folly this weekend, and it totally blew me away. The play was funny, touching, romantic, and heartbreakingly honest.
chanaleh and
dpolicar are both perfect in their roles; it's hard to imagine that the author had anyone *other* than
dpolicar in mind when he wrote Matt, and I barely recognized the
chanaleh I know in Sally. Even in the second performance, knowing full well what would happen, I got caught up in the story enough to laugh and cry. The scenery, lights, and sound are gorgeous, and let me have the illusion of being out of the Boston winter and into a warm Missouri summer.
There are 4 more performances next weekend (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8pm, and Saturday at 3pm). Go see it.
