A very merry wife

I am very excited (and a wee bit nervous) to announce that I will be playing the role of Mistress Page in T@F's Merry Wives of Windsor, by William Shakespeare. (She's one of the merry wives.) It's a good meaty part, and my first major role in a comedy, or for that matter in any full-length play, not to mention the first time I've ever done Shakespeare. I was perfectly ready to play a fairy, so this is a very nice surprise. And hey, I'm playing a girl twice in a row! It's a new record!

Should be a lot of fun, I think we're going to have a really good group. I'm just sorry not everyone could be in it -- I know I saw some amazing auditions the two nights I went and I seriously do not envy [livejournal.com profile] lillibet the decisions she had to make. I can't wait to finally read the play now...

Performances are Nov 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19. Mark your calendars now!

I'm hoping I'll get to wear my SCA garb as a costume, which means a corset every night. Does that mean you'll come to more performances? :)

Honestly, I'm totally psyched about the role, but there is a little bit of me that is sorry not to get to play with the fairies. I think you guys are going to have a great time and have all sorts of fairy in-jokes and stuff.

Have an easy flight and an amazing time in Israel! Can't wait to hear about your experiences.
