what a weekend

I've had the most wonderful two days. The play has just been fabulous beyond my expectations. It's been lots of fun to finally get out there on stage and perform for friends and strangers and hear the laughter and applause, but honestly the best part has been all the time hanging out with everyone else while I'm *not* on stage. There's a certain closeness there with the cast and crew that I haven't felt with a group in a long time. And my circle of people to cuddle with keeps expanding, which I love.

Thanks to all the friends who have shown up so far -- it means a lot to come out for bows and see friendly faces. And if you haven't made it so far, we've got three more performances next weekend!

And to all the Firsties, I'm missing you already. Somebody pass that Prozac pop this way. :)

I think yours here is better. jmspencer's pic of you above looks, well, TOO realistic; it doesn't look like Gilly-in-costume, it looks like Gilly-in-serious-drag (if any drag involving that sort of mustache could ever be considered serious :-) -- Which is also fine, of course, but it depends on what effect you're going for in a userpic! But it would be a shame not to feature the sombrero.
