Arms and the Groovy Man
I finally got to watch Arms and the Man tonight, while the rest of the able stage crew took over the set changes. Wow. I've heard the audiences laughing while I was hanging out in the green room, but I had no idea how funny the show really is. It's not so much the lines, it's the deliveries, and the facial expressions, and the reactions. If you haven't seen the show yet, go see it — there are still performances Friday and Saturday night. Heck, if you *have* seen the show, go see it again — I can guarantee you missed something funny, there are so many excellent actors doing great stuff up there at the same time.
And speaking of performances... it's a ways off yet, but Saturday May 19 I'll be performing with the Somerville Community Chorus. Our concert this season is "A Groovy Review of Pop Hits from the 1970's" and it should be pretty entertaining. I just found out on Tuesday that I'll have a small solo at the beginning of Imagine, and I don't have official confirmation yet but I think it's pretty likely that I'll be part of a trio singing The Rose. Singing solo scares me to death, so I'm hoping to see a lot of friendly faces in the audience!
