Brokeback Mountain

I really loved it. Thought it was amazingly done, and a painful but real portrait of people who were a product of their time and environment. One of the ways it seems to have affected me is that a bit of one of the characters is still in me -- I'm finding words harder than usual, so that's all I'm sayin'.

the washington post said it was 'devoid of passion'. i wonder what they were expecting in terms of 'passion' because that symbolic scene (you show, the shirt thing) is an expression of a passion and love that runs very very deep. hah! i'm eloquent, ain't i?

i find it awesome that a chinese-speaking director and an argentinian music composer could infuse so much meaning and authenticity to this American story.
